Seller Guidelines
These guidelines help keep ReptileX safe, trustworthy and enjoyable for everyone. By listing on our platform, you agree to follow them.
1. Accurate listings
All listing details must be truthful and up to date. Include accurate species, morph, age, sex and health status. Photos must be of the actual animal or item for sale — not stock images.
2. Captive-bred only
ReptileX is a captive-bred marketplace. Wild-caught animals are not permitted unless explicitly labeled and legal in your jurisdiction. Never sell endangered species without proper CITES documentation.
3. Healthy animals
Animals must be healthy, properly hydrated and feeding consistently at the time of sale. Disclose any known medical conditions, injuries or special care requirements.
4. Shipping standards
Use overnight shipping for live animals. Package with insulation and phase-appropriate heat or cool packs. Include a live arrival guarantee in your listing terms.
5. Communication
Respond to buyer inquiries within 24 hours. Provide tracking numbers promptly and keep buyers updated if delays occur.
6. Prohibited items
The following are not allowed: venomous reptiles sold to unlicensed buyers, illegal species, prescription medications, and misrepresented or fraudulent listings.
